Born on a farm in Southern Alberta, Deb currently resides in Strathmore Alberta. She still loves to look out over the landscape and see the fields and rolling hills in different seasons and colors. Her art pursuits began in childhood with painting and dancing at an early age. After high school, Deb went to the University of Lethbridge and completed a Bachelor of Education degree with a major in art. She enjoys plein air painting of local landscapes and painting places where you would like to sit and relax with a cup of tea, hear the birds sing, the leaves rustling and the water on the rocks. Art has always been a form of self-expression in the form of landscape paintings and abstract collages using tissue, acrylic, writing and pastel. Painting and collage are a connection to nature and to her inner self. Deb is member of the Wheatland Society of Arts of Strathmore.
