Navigating Mental Health Services in Calgary: A Mental Health Week Panel

Each year 1.6 million Canadians report unmet mental health care needs, and the demand for services has escalated due to the pandemic. The mental health effects of COVID-19—including anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, substance use—will last long after the pandemic has subsided.

Join us for a conversation between Sara Jordan, Executive Director of Canadian Mental Health Association - Calgary Region, Robyn Romano, Chief Executive Officer of Distress Centre Calgary, Vanessa McConnell, Director, Family Mental Health & Social Inclusion of Catholic Family Service, Hyder Hassan, Chief Executive Officer of Immigrant Services Calgary, and Karen Young, President and CEO of United Way of Calgary and Area, as they discuss navigating the mental health sector within Calgary and surrounding  areas, the challenges,  solutions, and expectations of those accessing services.

Managing Fear and Reconnecting After Covid-19

Have you struggled to reconnect with friends and attend social events after COVID-19?  Please join us for a special presentation by Joanne Simpson, Outreach Worker, BA Psych, BCR AHS - Addiction and Mental Health. 

Free event for those 55 and over.  Door prizes and refreshments.

Learn to develop a personal understanding of the effects of stress, loss, personal and community trauma and grief on others, with emphasis on self-care and resilience. 

This event is free to attend and no registration is required.  

Graffiti Night

Location: Trellis Commons (419B - 2nd St.)

Movie & Craft Day

Join us for an afternoon of t-shirt painting, snacks, and a movie!  We will be watching Disney's Inside Out.  Rated G.  Children under the age of 8 years must be accompanied by an adult.  Limit of 35 participants.  This event is free to attend and no registration is required.  Drop in and have fun!
